| The Association has a tradition of engaging
outstanding performers. Several artists are internationally known and
perform at the height of their career. Many other artists appear at the start of their
career, and several of these have achieved international recognition since their
appearance in Downers Grove. The Association is proud to have played a role in the
advancement of the careers of several young, yet extremely talented artists. The following section contains some interesting lore that has been passed down in the Association through the years. The stories are remembrances, and some may have occurred many years ago, but we have made every attempt to check their accuracy.
