Moscow String Quartet

Replacing Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet

The Moscow String Quartet gained international acclaim after winning the 1978 Leo Weiner International Quartet Competition in Budapest, Hungary, and the 1979 International Quartet Competition in Evian, France.  Eugenia Alikhanova and Galina Kokhanovskaya, violin, Tatiana Kokhanovskaya, viola and Olga Ogranovitch, cello, are graduates of the Moscow Conservatory and Gnessin Musical Institute in Moscow, trained under the supervision of Professor Valentin Berlinsky, cellist of the Borodin Quartet. The Quartet has recorded for MCA, Fine Arts Records, Russian Disk, Channel Classics, and Melodia.
