Clara-Jumi Kang, violin
with piano accompanist Chih-Yi Chen November 6, 2011 Wentz Concert Hall North Central College (map this location) 171 East Chicago Avenue, Naperville German violinist Clara-Jumi Kang performed with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra at age 5 and was admitted to Juilliard on a full scholarship at age 7. First Prize Winner of International Violin Competitions at Seoul in 2009 and at Sendai and Indianapolis in 2010, Clara performs on the 1683 Stradivari previously owned by famed violinist Joseph Gingold. Clara will make her Carnegie Hall debut in May of 2012.
