Shanghai Quartet

The quartet melds the delicacy of Eastern Music with the power of Western repertoire, from traditional Chinese folk music to the most challenging classical works. Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2008-09, the quartet will premiere commissions from composers Chen Yi, Krzysztof Penderecki and jazz pianist Dick Hyman.
